I had never had any worries or fears about my weight until I was 10 years of age, when people at my primary school started to comment on the way I looked and presented myself. The comments just kept getting worse and worse, it got to a point when it felt as if I had locked all of the comments up inside and every time I walked past them I would feel insecure and intimidated. I then moved into high school and people continued to comment to me and behind my back. I knew what they were saying and it was not pleasant, it made me feel really out of place and I was not popular with my class. In my second year in high school I came home and was not happy because some really mean and rude people had taunted me, once again regarding my weight.
My Dad introduced me to the idea of Peter’s fitness and food training clinic. At first I was not sure at all and felt pretty embarrassed to meet with him. Eventually my father convinced me to try one trial session with NutriFit Clinic. On the way to meeting with Peter I was very anxious and felt butterflies in my tummy but when I met Peter with my Dad, Peter was welcoming, friendly, kind and put me at ease immediately. I felt so relieved after meeting with him, in fact nothing like I had expected. I am now two and a half months into the program and to be honest I am a totally different person. Previously I never liked going shopping with my friends because I was embarrassed to be seen in public. I recently had half term and I went shopping about 3 times in one week and I just had fun and am now a really happy person inside and out.

I have known Peter Lemon in his capacity as a trainer and substitute for the ‘physio’ who was advising me since August 2013. He is very enthusiastic about his task and this is infectious. He has a strong personality and this helps in encouraging me to follow his advice. I gave him a challenge when we started to keep me out of a wheelchair. With a little help and some good fortune he is winning! Lastly, the exercises he has prescribed are simple and undemanding.
I developed an extremely excruciating acute pain on the right side of my lower back contributed by bad sleeping posture. I was unable to walk normally or climb stairs without pain shooting from my right side. I saw Peter and was not at all sure if I was going to be able to do my normal hourly training session with him.
Peter managed to mobilise me and get me going with my normal daily routines by kick starting the daily exercise routine by doing various stretch postures and gentle roll on exercises to ease my pain.
After 4 days of these routine exercises, I feel that my pain is almost gone and have regained my normal posture and mobility and have resumed my daily long walks!

My wife and I took a tour of Jerusalem in June 2013 and walked all the stations of the Cross in 95 degree heat and 80% humidity carrying 7Kg of camera equipment. I’m 77 years old with 5 collapsed discs and my wife is 75 with 5 arterial stents. We couldn’t have done this without training by Peter Lemon.
I wanted to thank you in helping kick-start my fitness program. It’s on an entirely different level! I have again felt motivated and am able to maintain my fitness regimen and know and feel I am on the right path. I am very excited to have started a new programme at NutriFit Clinic. This has given a kick start to my fitness regime, as I found my fitness was plateauing, as a result of my body being accustomed to the same regime before. I have already started to notice some improvement with my body and am hoping to become more sculpted soon. I first came to see you about 12 weeks ago. My brief was to train me for Race For Life and to help me lose weight. One of the first steps was for you to take a look at my diet and nutrition.
At the time I suffered from energy dips, tiredness and headaches on a regular basis. By following your very simple nutritional advice I no longer suffer these symptons and I have lost weight. In addition to this I am benefiting from clearer skin and no longer look like I haven’t slept in weeks! What has amazed me the most is that I really don’t feel restricted on what I can eat. I am very rarely hungry and I still get to enjoy every meal as I’m not tied into eating low fat, low calorie processed foods which fail to satisfy. My friends have remarked how surprised they are that I have managed to lose weight whilst still eating like a horse! Turning now to the exercise – I am pleased to confirm that I managed to compete Race For Life in 34 minutes which would have been impossible without your help. In addition to noticing the health benefits I have already mentioned and a much improved body shape I have also noticed that I am much more alert throughout the day and my concentration levels have also increased. I am more productive at work and also less stressed. I had never imagined I would have such additional benefits. What a find you have been?
I came to you recently, feeling very low and unwell. A back injury has given me constant pain and distress for a number of years and my weight had started to climb.
I work long hours and are responsible for three aged ladies let alone my family and business, so going home to rest it off is not is not something I can accept lightly. A sudden death of a young family member, made me suddenly look long and hard at myself. It became clear I needed help.
I needed someone to stop the rot – and you are doing just that. You looked at my diet, ascertained my body type and looked closely at all aspects of my daily life. The conclusion was a guide on what food types to avoid , those I needed to balance and those I needed to increase. Interestingly enough, I did not have to make that many changes other than to remove dairy foods from my diet, as tests proved I was intolerant. You covered when to eat and the need to increase my water intake and then you set to work on an exercise regime. Dietary goals were clearly set – and I have stuck to them religiously.
The results to date are speaking for themselves. I am two and half stone lighter and are having to change my wardrobe before I lose my trousers! I feel so much better in myself. I am now happily settled in my new diet regime and coping comfortably with it. However, I do not consider this to be a diet. It is a way of life. I am not measuring foods or counting calories. I am simply eating foods that’s right for me in a well balanced way.
No matter what time I go upstairs and its late, I always spend 40Min’s plus on your exercise routine. I might be yawning like the clappers, but it still gets done!
This is not a new story. Many of us suffer from back pain. The trouble is not enough of us are prepared to do something positive about it. Peter you are changing my shape both ways from the sides and top to toe. I look forward, with your guidance, to regaining some of my height I appear to have lost as a result of back pain and bad posture. In March 2007, I underwent major surgery on my cervical spine to relieve compression of the spinal cord. Inevitably the condition and then the surgery led to a loss of mobility over several months. This exacerbated the tendency to an increase in weight which I had been experiencing over the past few years despite the fact that I was eating very little in terms of calories.
In October 2007 I joined Weight Watchers in an effort to reduce weight and went onto their Points Plan. The daily points allowance was determined by several factors e.g. age, gender, height etc. I scored the minimum allowance of 16 points which equated to very little food. To keep to this allowance I cut out fat wherever possible and reduced proteins.
The weight did come off albeit slowly but after a couple of months I was feeling drained. I had no energy and constant headaches. Perhaps I hadn’t made enough allowances for the fact that my body was still trying to repair after the very aggressive surgery.
However salvation was at hand when I was put in touch with Peter Lemon who owns the NutriFit Clinic in Hatch End. Peter was able to show me that through Metabolic Typing it is possible to eat healthily, not reduce calories and reduce in size! After 50+ years of believing that the only way to reduce weight was to eat less calories than those expended, I found it very hard to get my head around the whole concept. However I followed the instructions and reduced my inches. Also after the first week my energy levels were wonderfully restored and the preparations for a extensive cruise were undertaken without problem.
I went away with an easy mind as my clothes now fitted and I realised that it would be no problem to follow the eating plan despite being on a cruise ship! In fact I ate really well and my clothes continued to ‘ease’. It is also a fact that one’s cravings for sweet, sugary foods are lost which is just as well with the surfeit of such goodies all around. I never had one bite of anything sweet because I just didn’t want it. I took with me a large box of nuts so that if I was at all hungry between meals I could have these together with a piece of fruit taken from the buffet, thus maintaining the carbohydrate, protein, fat balance.
We travelled on the Queen Mary 2 which meant a lot of walking just to get from A to B. However by then I had the energy to cope with this and my mobility was greatly enhanced as a result. Air travel these days is a nightmare and our return flight from New York (with a 2 hour delay) was no exception. However, I am writing this just two days after our return as I haven’t suffered the jet lag experienced on previous trips.
For me the Metabolic Typing eating plan recommended by Peter Lemon has been a revelation – if not a miracle!!
Once again, thank you for helping me not just to achieve a better figure and general health and also for increasing my confidence through exercise. I feel that the added bonus for me has been the way I actually feel about the way I now look, it has been nothing short of an incredible transformation.
Seven years ago I started training with Peter. He is always very professional, listened to his clients, was very thorough and so our partnership began.
I wanted a personal trainer because I enjoyed the gym but felt a structured programme would keep me interested and challenged. I was also suffering with lower back and neck pain which caused problems when driving, gardening doing housework and playing tennis.
Peter’s approach was to take everything back to basics and to work on core strength. This meant concentrating on the abdomen and lower back. I would see Peter once a week and then practice the exercises twice a week before our next meeting. If one of the exercises was not working for me he would always be able to change it slightly to suit my needs. After six weeks he would review the programme making it more challenging. Initially I was surprised because the training was very different and I came out of the sessions feeling trained rather than drained.
I did have to miss training sometimes due to lower back pain but slowly felt my back and neck strengthen to the extent that I was able to take on much more strenuous exercise. Recently I suffered with a slipped disc but kept focused, adjusted the exercises with Peter and quickly returned to feeling strong again. I also had a problem with my Achilles which I had been advised would need an operation. Peter gave me some exercises which I did three times a week. The problem caused me a lot of pain when walking but slowly the exercises worked and I never had the operation. That was three years ago!!
Peter tailors his training to the individual. This I know because he trained my husband and sixteen year old daughter for different reasons achieving their goals.
When I work out I feel good knowing what exercises to do and how to change my programme depending on my needs. I feel really strong at the moment and training with Peter was a good investment. Seven years probably says it all but the time has flown by and I can honestly say every week has been enjoyable.
For the last few years I have been over weight and depressed not the David I should be.
My friend suggested hiring a personal trainer and I found Peter. He consulted with me and did lots of tests, assessments and measurements. As soon as we sorted my diet everything started falling off. I had long standing digestive and sleeping problems that I thought I was going to have to put up with for the rest of my life.
Digestive problems cause many symptoms that can make you feel thoroughly miserable and couple theses with sleep deprivation and you are looking at one grumpy, frumpy, permanently tired and despondent middle-aged woman!
I made an appointment to see you at the beginning of February and from the first meeting I have changed my diet completely. It has been two months now and my digestive problems are a thing of the past and I never thought that I would sleep as well as I do now. I also have much higher energy levels and cope well with stressful situations. Losing weight was also something I wanted but this was secondary to the medical issues. I am happy to report that I am steadily losing weight and wearing the sort of clothes that I used to wear and the baggy ‘coverall’ clothes are a thing of the past.
Exercise is not something that I enjoyed in the past but wow your programme has put paid to that!
The dietary advice you have given me is not so much a diet but a new way of looking at food, more of a routine. On the odd occasion that I have strayed through need or want I have soon realised that the foods I used to crave are not as scrumptious as I thought they were. Thank you Peter!
I had my first triathlon on Sunday 12th April and I met with Peter a few weeks ago to get an understanding of my body and what fuel it needs.

I enlisted Peter’s help following some very extensive research as I had a very specific need; to rehabilitate my abdominal muscles post my recent c section, and to return to my pre pregnancy levels of fitness. My first session was calm and measured – not what I was used to as someone who kickboxed 3 times a week, but Peter noted that whilst it was not a pace I was used to, it was a necessary step towards returning to that pace. After a few weeks, I noticed the strength returning to my body. I became increasingly confident, and after 6 weeks of training, I started kickboxing again, albeit once a week. After a further 6 weeks, I was back to training twice a week, and had lost 12kg – no more maternity wear for me! I’m still working on shedding the last few kilos, and am not yet back to 100% but I know I would not have progressed quite so fast without Peter’s guidance. The main thing I took away was his knowledge of very basic, simple movements that over time contributed to the rehabilitation of my abdominal muscles, and more importantly, the reconnection of my brain to those nerves – something I would not have even realised I would have to think about!
Working with Peter has been a fantastic experience. Due to injury from sport, a year and a half out of exercise and poor diet led to me putting on serious weight. In the short amount of time I have had with him, a carefully structured workout and diet regime was implemented specifically for me, and the results have been rapid.
